INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
Welcome to our Pulmonary and Critical Care Program at Cook County Health. Thank you for your interest in our program.
Our Selection Committee reviews all applications on an individual basis. We receive over 500 applications for our 3 fellowship spots each year.

We accept applications only through the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS) in July.

We generally review Applications in August and send an invitation by Mid-August.

Successful competition of USMLE Step 3 is an important part of the application process.

Ideally, applications should be submitted no later than the end of July.

Our interviews are held during the Months of September and October.

We are enrolled in the NRMP Match.
The Association of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Program Directors (APCCMPD) has advised that Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship interviews should be held exclusively virtually for all applicants in 2024-2025. In accordance with this recommendation, Cook County Health will offer all PCCM fellowship interviews virtually this application cycle.
